Want to learn about the searun cutthroat on our local beaches and how to catch them?
Then attend the Comox Valley Flyfishers “Fishout” this Saturday in Royston.
Location: Royston Wrecks parking lot (Hilton Road)
Date: May 11th
Time: 9:00 am
Bring your waders and a five-six weight rod. We generally use a floating line with a nine foot leader tapered to 4x. Flies are typically minnow patterns (Rolled Muddlers, etc.).
We will start with an introduction to fishing for searun cutties on our local waters which will include life cycle, structure, tides, food sources, locations and best times to fish.
Look forward to seeing you there”.
