    Hi All,
As there are only 56 Covid infections on the whole North Island to which the Comox Valley belongs, I’ve decided to go ahead with this year’s Fly tying with Norm at the Royston Hall. Everyone must be double vaccinated and wear a mask when entering the Hall and getting the tables set up. Once at your station, you can take your mask off. We will be using one table per fly tier. Dan from Gone Fishin’ is once again sponsoring us this year. Please visit his stores if you need supplies. I will still charge $2.00 and with that money buy, like the previous years, a $25.00 gift certificate from Gone Fishin’.
    Hope to see you there,
    Norm

I also have a Google Group to help us organize fish-outs, exchange ideas, communicate which other, etc… It is strictly by invitation. The public is not invited. Also you do not have to be a member of the CVFF to belong. If any of you would like to join, please send me an email at neiderer@shaw.ca and I will send you an invitation. Please put your name when you fill out the invitation. It’s easier for me to track all the members.
    Cheers,
    Norm

    Reminder! Reminder!Reminder!
    Hi All,
Friday, Oct 22 is Fly Tying with Norm at the Royston Hall. The hall is located on the ocean side of the traffic lights in Royston. Dan from Gone Fishin’ has graciously offered again to pay for the rental of the Hall for this season (Thanks Dan). I will still charge $2.00 and with the money hold a raffle at every session (approximately $25.00 worth). As always, junior members and seniors over 100 years old are free. Some of us are going for breakfast at Plates restaurant at 8:15 am.

The hall is opened from 9:30 am to 4 pm.

Here is the schedule for the year:
    Nov 5-19
    Dec 3-17
    Jan 7-21
    Feb 4-18
    Mar 4-18
    Apr 1

    Things to bring:
A lunch & beverage unless you want to go to the pub next door.
    A personal light (table lamp).
    An extension for your light.

Also please invite any friends you have who are interested in fly tying. They do not have to be members of CVFF (Comox Valley Fly Fishers) for this event but hopefully they will after seeing all the fun we have.
    Hope to see you there,
    Norm
