Hey gang, biologist Scott Sylvestri and his crew will be back at Horne Lake this Wednesday, March 18, 2020 working their traps and collecting more brood stock. Looks like it is going to be a beautiful, warm day with just light winds. For those who have yet to make the trip just turn off Hwy 19 at the Horne Lake turnoff and follow the signs to the Horne Lake Caves Regional park and campsite. Turn in to the campsite and follow signage to the boat launch. Please park your vehicle in the designated parking area, not on the boat launch apron or in the campsite. It is approx 1hr travel time from town to get there and I will be there around 8:30am or so. The time is not critical, so any time you can make it out is good. No need to respond to this post unless you have questions, then feel free to do so. Hope to see as many members out as possible and hopefully we can help Scott out. When you catch a fish just leave it in your net in the water and Scott will come alongside and take it from you. I’m not sure what stage they are at in their brood stock collection process, so we will be updated by him at the lake as to what they are looking for.
