A remote member from England has gone fishing:
Very very sad day, my lovely John passed away at 12.30 pm. I was with him right to the end and had been with him for several days and nights up until that time. My whole world has just fallen apart and I am totally and utterly devastated.
He had been in the hospital for over 4 weeks and we got the devastating news on Thursday that they could not do anything further for him. He fought so so hard right up till the end. So courageous, beautiful, my whole life. He became very very weak and was not able to get out of bed but we thought we may have a couple of weeks left together, sadly not. I can’t put in words my feelings, everything is so so jumbled. However, I must be strong because that is what he taught me so I will take each day as it comes and somehow get through it. I know he will be with me and guiding me all the way through life but it doesn’t make it any easier. He was so so strong right up till the very end
As you know John often talked about his Canadian fishing and the trips out and fish caught, he absolutely loved the lifestyle. It is something that he missed dearly.
I am sorry I could not call but I can’t express any words at this moment.
Would you be kind enough to let the CVFF club know as he so enjoyed and missed their company and banter
