Was thinking of heading out to Spider Lake tomorrow (Thursday April 08) when I read about all provincial parks and day use areas being closed effective immediately. I assume this means no fishing on Spider?? Any input?

Just googled the Spider Lake website, says all access’s parking lots marina’s and booey’s. Doesn’t sound positive. Cam

Thanks Cam – did not think to check the park website. You’re right – it confirms the park is closed.
“BC Parks has closed this park; this includes all associated access, e.g.; trails, parking lots, beaches, docks and marine buoys.”.

According to Cam the boat launch at Spider Lake is still open. The rest of the park access is taped off.
