Spanning several years Rory wrote many 800 word feature articles for Island Fisherman Magazine. This periodical, based in Campbell River, was Vancouver Island’s only glossy covered sport fishing magazine. His pieces were always about fly fishing and covered an eclectic range of topics. The articles were supplemented with sidebars and photographs. In Rory’s words, “Somehow, either through good planning or some quirk in the layout of advertising, they anchored page 30 of the magazine. Hence the lead in here.”
